Abstract

|
Infection-associated hemophagocytic syndrome hasbeen recently identified as a benign, reactive histiocvtic proliferation distinct from malignant histiocytosis. Infection-associated hemophagocytic syndrome occurs by virus, but other etiologic
agents
can
be associated with this disease. Among them, tuberculosis-associated hmophagocytic syndrome is rarely reported.
Recently, we experienced fatal tuberculosis-associated hemophaocytic syndrome in a patient undergoing hemodialysis.
